Overview
Samburu Game Reserve is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River in the dry northern reaches of Kenya. It is a hot arid area characterized by a parched landscape of hills and plains. However, the presence of Ewaso Ngiro River and its shady trees attracts a large number of wildlife. This safari provides you with an opportunity to see wildlife which live in the dry northern regions of Kenya.
Tour Plan
Day 1: Nairobi/Samburu National park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and pass through agricultural farmlands on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. You will arrive at the semi-arid and open savannah plains of Samburu Game Reserve in time for lunch. After lunch you will take off for your first exciting game drive in the park. Later in the evening, drive back to Ashnil Samburu Camp, Sarova Shaba Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Samburu National Park
Embark on a full day of game viewing with picnic lunch in the park after breakfast. This park is known as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Gravys zebra gerenuk, beisa Oryx and a host of big game including elephants and lions. Later in the evening, return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu/Lake Nakuru
After early morning breakfast, check-out of the camp with packed lunch and take a scenic drive to the west across Lerochi Plateau. Descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley and head south to Lake Bogoria for its beautiful scenery and majestic pink flamingos as you enjoy your picnic lunch. Thereafter, proceed to Lake Nakuru for more of the water way inhabits and millions of flamingos. Lake Nakuru National Park has a Rhino sanctuary and provides you with the chance to view other animals like lions, buffalos, waterbucks, warthogs and hippos. Later in the evening, check-in to Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru/Nairobi
Check-out of the lodge after breakfast and make your way back to Nairobi with stopovers for some amazing panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley. You may optionally stop over for a boat ride in Lake Naivasha before arriving Nairobi late in the afternoon. Optional lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant and drop off at JKIA to board your homebound flight.
